“Commercial description: "The Admiral Nelson is the finest pub in Whitton with hearty dishes and sublime Sunday roasts! Enjoy our cask ales, world wines, premium spirits and craft lagers by the fire, or a quiet coffee all in our cosy, comfy surroundings. Weekly pub quiz and live music every Friday. With Twickenham Rugby Stadium close by from the Admiral Nelson, this makes it a fantastic place to meet before and after big international games. A stone's throw from Whitton mainline station, the pub is just off Whitton High Street. The team here are big on sport, but you can also enjoy a good meal too - with the menu made up of some great English classics. Together with Fuller's fine ales, it's a winning combination all round. Our freshly kept ales have seen us earn Fuller's Master Cellarman status, which sits alongside our Pride and Passion Award, 2011. We're proud to say we have 5 stars for Environmental health and Food Hygiene too. Curious about the pub’s name? The village of Whitton was gifted to one John Suckling in the 17th Century. His great-great grandson Maurice was the father of none other than Horatio Nelson…" A short walking distance from Whitton train station (1 stop from Twickenham), this is a fairly nice Fuller's pub, with cask ales in good condition. Maybe not a destination in its own right, but if you are in Whitton anyway, this will be your best bet for a decent pint. The food I had was so-and-so.“
