“A few minutes walk away from North Manchester General Hospital, this is a very suburban pub in its own large building on the corner of a small local commercial area. It’s very hard to miss this place if you are on the right road. There’s plenty of parking here and lots of space in front of the pub for those who wish to stand outside with their drink or for a smoke. Inside this Joseph Holt pub serves a selection of its own ales and has two very large main rooms. The first as you walk in is less used and the proverbial best room, although the decor is a little worn and on my visit I managed to sit on a wall bench whose seat covering was damp with urine (although I never found this out for a while), this was unlucky as there’s no shortage of seating. The other room is the more popular bar area where sports are on the television.“
