50 /100 Claremont Hotel (Holts) (Bar) 124 CLAREMONT ROAD On Princess Road which is the main route in and out of Manchester from the airport, if you’re coming into the city from the aforementioned and want to try a Holts ale without the difficulties of finding free parking, (which you’ll have in the city centre), this is perhaps the first option open to you. Although the area gets a bad write up this pub is on a main road and is safe enough. I encountered a quiet friendly crowd and this pub has a large ground floor space with plenty of areas to sit in so it’s easy enough to find a seat that suits. There’s a couple of rooms around a central bar that serves a decent enough range of the brewers own ales. The decor is a little worn in places but the best area to the right of the door after you enter is kept well. The pub is in its own building that is much larger than those around it and there’s no street parking restrictions here. |
