“Pleasant micropub on the eastern side of the railway and station in the middle of a row of shops. There's a central doorway so the seating arrangements are defined in here along the walls with the bar at the back, where you'll find a worthwhile selection of cask ales, including local options, to choose from. Might have steamed up windows depending on the time of year.“

“Immediately west of the railway station, this is a pub and food pub with two defined areas for both, although a little uncomfortable when full as the staff struggle to get too and from the kitchen via the drinking area in front of the bar. This is on the left after you enter, seats are to the right. Has a row of cask ales including regulars from local microbreweries. One new Moorhouses seasonal available for me. Modern design in a fairly ordinary red brick building.“

“As the name suggests, this one is close to the station, and has a bar on the ground floor and a restaurant upstairs. There were 4 cask ales available plus ciders. The ales were Titanic Black Ice, Acorn Old Moor Porter, Pennine Amber Necker and Coach House Blonde.“

“This micro pub features in the 2019 Good Beer Guide, and was a double fronted shoe and clothes shop. It has 5 cask ales of which 3 were from 3 Piers brewery, and the other 2 were from Stockport brewery and Poynton brewery. We enjoyed the 4 beers we chose. CAMRA discount available too. They also have craft ales and cider on tap, plus some bag in a box ciders.“
