“The Shilton Vaults is a relatively new pub in town and the sister pub of the Pestle & Mortar in Hinckley. Its too big to be a proper micropub but has a micropub feel, quite upmarket in a way with art and vintage posters and cartoons adorning the walls of the several rooms. I came on a quiet day and the beer choice from the look of the pump clips was really disappointing (two nationals). However they carry eight beers, looking at the handmade beer board a few micros such as Falstaff. This is a cider pub as well and you have the choice of six box ciders and a mead. No WiFi and no 4/5G around here. No hot food but they offer cobs. Toilets up a narrow staircase so you may want to make this your first stop, not your last! Verdict: it's a really pleasant pub, and worth a stop.“
