“Grand and worthwhile Wetherspoon that many will never see unless they have local knowledge or make a effort to come to this pub. This is a magnificent conversion in a building that feels much older than its age. It’s stately home material in the small rural suburb of Scraptoft. The buses only run in daylight hours to this place so a car is very much required unless you happen to live in one of the few houses nearby, however there is ample parking. Inside it’s a ground floor affair but there are several rooms or areas over a large area to sit in, so if you are in a group or prefer to find a quiet corner this place accommodates all. Outside the garden and patio area is huge. The bar has two rows of ale pumps but was poorly stocked at the time of my visit.“
