“Vegan is this bars headline. They do decent pizza (cheese or vegan cheese) and have ~8 taps with a variety of craft beers most of which I have never heard of. It usually has table space and a reasonable boardgame collection. A bit pricey, very hipster but worth a look.“

“Stocks Neepsend, but also has a decent set of continental beers on tap. A very good taps selection. Others have said that it feels more like a social club than a pub and it does have this vibe, rather small tables close to each other but then some sizable open floor space. This works because of the friendly crowd.“

“First left after very small River Sheaf that has very industrialised banks built around it, the pub is up the hill just in front of a public park where things get steeper. The entrance is by the road and you walk up a wooden corridor with bright wooden furniture on both sides. This opens out into a large, table-less area with the bar in the middle of the back wall. Seats are found here against the outer and inner walls at the side of the serving area. It feels a little more like social club than pub in design, but it’s very welcoming, as are the mix of rotating cask and keg ales, practically all from local and regional micros or craft brewers the length and breadth of the country. It’s a bit of a trek from the city centre, but very much worthwhile.“

“An excellent local located near Heeley Bridge. Worth making a detour away from Kelham Island for.“

“a top little boozer overlooking the railway line and River Sheaf. unfortunately located the other side of town from the valley of beer, but well worth a detour if you have time. Half a dozen micro-beers along with a small range of draught and bottled foreign beers.“
