74 /100 Stables Inn (Bar) DRURY LANE Hidden within the tiny country lanes and fields of Hope just within the South Shropshire Hills, this is very much a local farmers pub, but is still a lovely old country pub to visit with roaring fire and all manner of old brewing ephemera decorating the walls. A handful of games on the windowsill. Old handpulls hand-painted with horses and hounds. Cask sees Ludlow best bitter and Three Tuns XXX served in excellent condition. Home-cooked food served. Large outdoor seating overlooking the fields. Dart board round the back. Lovely place. Also the car park opposite is the start / end point for the circular Walking with Offa 2 walk, which I can recommend. |
