70 /100 Stiperstones Inn (Bar) STIPERSTONES Nestled deep within the majestic South Shropshire Hills, the Stiperstones Inn has served both the local community and the legions of hillwalkers & mountain bikers since 1840. Indeed, it's hugely popular not just within the immediate area but with many within Shropshire and Mid Wales. I can recommend the 2 hr Walking with Offa 13 walk, starting / finishing at The Bog visitor centre nearby. Inside it's cosy with a traditional pub feel, a nice refreshing Wye Valley stout, a couple of Woods and a Sweeney Mountain cider from Oswestry on my visit this time. Next door is a village shop. Meals served from midday every day. Also a part of britstops.com which offers free parking for motorhomes, on the assumption you'll spend inside. A nice array of home-made gins and jams, including some made with the local berry winberry. |
