courtesy of Allen - hazy amber-bronze colour with absolutely no foam left; fairly aromatic nose with notes of spices, almonds and herbs; medium-bodied and very tasty, some late bitterness, quite dry herbal and spicy finish - a very good and freely interpreted Pilsener
UPDATED: JUN 24, 2010 Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of Karl Ramisberger. Appearance: It pours a hazy copper beer with a quick diminishing fizzy small white head. No lacework. Aroma: Sweet malty at first, but as you dig deeper glue, papaya, dried apple, honey, almonds, coconut a faint hints of chlorine show up. Flavor and palate: Practically no carbonation. Flat mouthfeel. Extremely low bitterness. Very drinkable. Astringent. Sweet malty with hints of apple, almonds, papaya, honey, dandelion and coconut. Medium bodied. Indeed, rather sweet. There is a nice bite to this beer. The finish isn’t dry at all- it’s not what you would expect from a Pilsener. Instead it’s sweet malty and reminiscent of dried apple, raisin and apricot. Overall impression: Atypical. Strongly malt accentuated. Not a Pilsener- definitely pleasant and interesting though.
