Very dark with a small head. Acetone and banana in the nose. Alcoholic taste. Marmite sneaking in. Sour. Banana and roasted malt in the taste. Interesting.

courtesy of Pascal Sauser; labelled Belgium Lambic" ?! - dark black coloured with a fast collapsing foam; some roasted malts, notes of acetone, lactic; quite sweet and medium to full-bodied, some late sourness; notes of banana and licorice in the finish - I wonder what "lambic" means in Japanese ?!? Anyway this is a chaotic beer, unusual but not bad at all

Bott@Strasbourg 33cl Mondial de la Biere. "Belgium lambic" written on the bottle!! Black!!! Plastic, faint aceticness! Just a gone off beer. Terrible!!!

Real ale at Beer Belly Edobori. Seems to have been aged already 6 months. Pitch black like a stout, with a beautiful tan head and fine lines of bubbles rising to the top. Crazy color for the name but lovely. Citrus aroma, sour, with cherries. A bit like Sprite with root beer added. Quite sour flavor, very fruity with a lot of sweetness as well. Cherries, caramel, roasted malt. Very interesting. I would say it needs refinement, and should probably be aged another year. Quite young feeling, but fun and definitely would be a good thing to work on. They should change the name, however, because there is nothing lambic about it. It is a sour ale.
