11Oct2018 Intense dark roast malts, raspberries, blueberries, dark chocolate, cacao. Hazy, very dark brown, tiny, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. Bitter, unripe, juicy dark berries, raspberries, dark, toasted malts, cacao, alcohol, soft carbonation, full bodied. Very nice. Bottle shared at CBC Covent Garden tasting - thanks to madmitch76!

Bottle @Craig’s (Abstrakt tasting). Pours black with an off white head. Nose is cherry, sherry, smoke. Taste is raspberry fruitiness, cherries, good.

Bottle at Craigs. Pours deep brown with a highly effervescent brown head. Aroma is raspberry, some peat/smoke. Taste is raspberry tart, dried red fruit, hint of peat.

UPDATED: FEB 29, 2016 0,375l bottle at Vienna Tasting shared by Cuso, big thanks. Bottle 302 of 1060. dark brown color, almost no head. smells of black currants, some sherry, grapes, spices, rhubarb. ok smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of black currant, bit medical, some wood, some oxidation, spices, some alcohol, raspberry. finishes with some alcohol with notes of berry notes and some spices. hmm, not a big fan, quite a bit of oxidation.

Bottle at Vienna tasting February 2016. Many thanks! Really dry winey aroma and taste as well. Barrels and lots of oxidation. Completely flat. Unfortunately this did not age very well IMO.

Bottle. Very dark ruby color with almost no head. Strong aroma of raspberries and black currant. Raspberries, barel, coconut, whiskey, light sourness in tast. Tasty.

Bottle kindly shared by Cuso, many thanks! Dark brown pour with no head. Heavy pear aroma with light vanilla and blackberry. Sweetish,alcoholic taste with pear, light vanilla, heavy barrel and light alcoholic,boozy finish.

Black colour, white head, yeast particles floating. Aroma of blackberry, coffee, cherry and raisins. Quite sweet flavour, alcohol, (light sour) berries, mushrooms. Light sour finish, coffee, caramel and raisins. One can taste it’s getting older.

Black colour, tiny beige head. Aroma of whisky, chocolate and red berries. Taste is light sweet, light bitter, light sour, raspberry and chocolate flavour. Medium body, slick texture, soft to average carbonation. Very interesting beer.
