COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We took our award winning Siberian Night Russian Imperial Stout and aged it for 11 months in fresh bourbon barrels. The result blew us away. The dark chocolate malt yields a milk chocolate flavor that blends perfectly with the vanilla flavor from the barrel. The bourbon aroma adds the finishing touch.
2013 vintage: 10.9% abv, 58 IBU

polomagnifico (1214) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - APR 15, 2023
UPDATED: APR 15, 2023 Incredible nose bottle pours pitch black with a tiny off white head. Aroma has notes of bourbon caramel nuts, smoke, dark dried fruits, malt. Medium bodied to full-bodied mouth feel with a slow light clawing aftertaste. An absolutely incredible beer

UPDATED: APR 8, 2021 8 ounce stemmed sniffer at Thirsty Dog Brewing in Akron, Ohio. Light malt aroma. Black in color with thin beige head. Taste the malt, bourbon, and light leathery tastes. Smooth and mellow. Alcohol is well hidden. Thick bodied. Leathery and light bourbon aftertaste. Super nice sipping beer. Tastes awesome and complex. Cheers!

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2019 The Aromas are whiskey ( a bit strong), cocoa, dark malt and roast. Flavors are similar to nose, sweet up front with some boozy bitterness in the finish that I wasn't that fond of. Okay Imperial Stout. I'm getting tired of these massively sweet Imperial Stouts.

juiceisloose (3847) - Windermere, Florida, USA - JUN 2, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2019 Entering old ratings. 12oz bottle. Pours a pitch black body with a small tan head that slowly recedes to a thin film and leavs spotty lacing behind on the glass. The aroma is really nice showing loads of rich of dark chocolate, espresso, and dark fruits over a dark roasted malt base with note sweet of bourbon and oak laden vanilla. The flavor follows with the rich, dark and milk chocolate, earth roasted coffee, toasted caramel, and dark fruits all integrating nicely together and backed up by roasty bitterness from the roasted malts. As it warms the bourbon oak and vanilla start to shine to add further depth and balance to the sweetness and bitter roast. There is a loads of depth to the flavors in this beer. Full bodied and smooth with soft carbonation that leads to a lengthy dark chocolate, toasted caramel, and earthy roast on the finish with lingering notes of bourbon and oaky that just leaves you wanting more. This is a really well done barrel aged imperial stout. Really damn good and tasty stuff.

Boutip (9385) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 18, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2019 Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of black chocolate notes with some woody notes with vanilla and bourbon notes clearly identifiable. Taste is a mix of chocolate with some residual sugar notes offset by strong woody notes with some vanilla and bourbon notes with light warming alcohol notes also perceptible. Body is about average with oily texture and good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Wonderful BA imperial stout and it really shows that it spent some time in quality bourbon barrels.

Bottle. Pours almost black with a tan head. Aroma and flavors of bourbon, oak, roasted malt, vanilla notes. But mostly bourbon, like a lot of these barrel-aged impys. Finish is sweet and boozy.
