Pours a dark brown color, topped with a hefty dark beige colored head. Malty aroma, some fruity notes, some caramel and some syrupy aroma, plus also some sour notes. Taste starts sweet, some caramel and fruity notes, mild bitterness in the finish and some wintery spices pretty obvious.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Clear mahogany colour, small head. Very sweet and very spicy with syrup, herbs and ginger. Above medium bodied with sticky, viscous mouthfeel and low bitterness. Too sweet and syrupy.

courtesy of the Sudwerk’s team - clear dark brown beer with a rubish hue; little foam left; a decent flowery hoppiness with notes of black cherries, fresh apples and hints of molasses; medium to full malt backbone, clean and rounded palate; low bitterness; the finish is moderately long with hints of licorice, black cherries and raisins - develops earthy notes while getting warmer; nicely made and deeply drinkable
