33cl bb01/2016, from 3. Basler Biermarkt. - Sourish mulch wafts of damp forest ground, leaf compost, fresh yeast from homemade rye bread. Some of that rye spice meets a bread-yeasty mouthfeel and clovey esters of a dubbel against timid Dunkel roast. Subtle orchard fruit notes, older ripe peach meat and pear. Quite enjoyable Dunkel/dubbel (dubkel) crossover to mark more autumnal climes.
courtesy of Toni Flükiger - slightly hazy brown beer with a poor head retention; aroma of wheat (rye ? ok ...), caramel and hay; moderate malt backbone, some tartness, a late and aggressive earthy bitterness; corny and caramelish finish with some weird flowery notes
