NachlamSie (4475) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 17, 2018Pint at Barley's. Real dark body with an almost brown head. Smells sweet right off the bat. Rich milk chocolate supports natural coffee bean scents. The body is heavy and sweet, it really pulls off trying to taste like a mocha. That coffee bite provides welcome balance. Heavy chocolate brownie impressions dominate the flavor. It's a nice dessert beer but a pint might be a little excessive of a serving for me.
nearbeer (8329) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JUL 12, 2018Pint with no canning date. Pours black with a sizzling head. Nose is dark biscuit, soy, milk chocolate, berry and a bit of earthy dark roasted coffee. Front flavor is berries, coffee, caramel and chocolate. Finish has cocoa powder, char and malted milk ball. Light-medium body is airy and foamy with a little too much carbonation. The cacao and coffee provide an acidic, astringent palate sweep that's a little harsh but a necessary check on the sweet leaning brew.
Dogbrick (18570) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 25, 2018Sample at the taproom. Brown-black color with a medium beige head that dissipates gradually to a film. Small patches of lace.
