UPDATED: APR 26, 2024 Banana adds a nice touch to a traditional porter. Not much bitterness. Aroma is chocolate banana. Flavor is fairly light with banana up front followed by a more traditional porter roast. Not bad.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2024 Can from Wegmans Pic 6. Pours very dark clear brown with hints of copper and a fizzy off white head. Tastes smooth, creamy, chocolatey, with hints of peanut butter, crackers, and banana developing. Very light dry bitterness. Smells like peanut butter, chocolate and banana,

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2023 Can. Moderate toasted and dark bread for the malt, light resin and earth for hops and yeast, with a hint of charcoal in the background. Head is average sized, frothy, light beige, with some slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, watery, with a lively carbonation and has a dry finish. Not a bad Flavored Porter, but only sensed the banana in the texture.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2023 12 ounce can from Wine Shop Charleston, 5/6/23. Near black, large brown head, good retention. Aroma of strong peanut butter, roast, sweet banana. Taste is roast, chocolate, peanut butter, mild banana. Slick, almost jammy. A little disjointed. Decent.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2023 4/9/23 - Tallahassee, FL - Total Wine - 12 oz can. Sable black pour, tight khaki head. Aroma of topsoil and bittersweet baker's chocolate. Flavor is very bitter, not much chocolate sweetness, touch of peanut butter, don't really pick up the bananas. Slippery mouthfeel.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2023 Dark brown almost black with a two-finger tan head. Aroma is dark roasted grains, chocolate, peanut butter and banana. Taste is mostly dark roasted grains and peanut butter.

UPDATED: MAR 19, 2023 12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a very dark brown color with ruby highlights and a large beige head and excellent retention. Good lacing. Strong dried peanut butter aroma. Very dark roasted flavor and peanut butter flavor with a bitter dark chocolate finish. Sorry, I don't get any banana flavor. Is this really any different than the original? Medium-heavy body. Creamy mouthfeel. Medium-light carbonation. Still good.
