*10/8/2013 750ml growler poured into a Hill Farmstead oversized wine glass. A~ cloudy golden copper color with a nice light head and a good amount of lacing. S~ hibiscus really comes through with a nice lemony, citrus tartness. followed by amazing sweet hop bitterness and a little piney earth. the citrus really over takes over though, which is just perfect! T~ mmm...! its like a non-imperial Mimosa IPA. tartness and floral aspects up front from the hibiscus. followed by earthy hops which get engulfed with crazy citrus notes of lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, and a little guava. tartness reprise on the finish. M~ great carbonation, super smooth and kind of champaign like. O~ this is really incredible. i love floral brews especially when it comes out like it does here. the hibiscus really makes this amazing from the citrus taste/texture to the amazing tartness. i would love to see this wine barrel aged, kind of like E. the malt would really attack the barrel making this a thick, funky masterpiece!

Growler 750ml consumed fresh in october 2013. Beautiful hazy gold pour. Aroma is incredible with grapefruit rind, hibiscus and dank. Taste is nicely tart from citrus nicely balance by hop bitterness. I thought hibiscus added some bitterness too. This one is highly drinkable, the perfect balance between tart and bitter for a blonde ale. I loved it even more than #1.

Sampled on tap and from a growler. Pours a bright rose hued, golden color with a slightly pink, dense off white head that fades a little quicker than Edward does. Aroma is floral and hoppy, leafy Citra, grass, lemon, and faint red berries. Medium body, tight carbonation with a dry, slightly tart finish. Hibiscus and Citra add a little more citrus sweetness to front of the flavor than Edward and finish dries out with a grassier Moteuka bitterness and mild tartness. Flavor and body is more like a typical HF APA than previous LWOP beers, but the hibiscus is a nicely balanced addition to make this notably distinct. I suspect I’ll like this more than most will but who cares. Super refreshing and crisp, this was a pleasant surprise.

Pour is hazy golden yellow with a tight creamy white head. Nose is light, clean citrus with a fair bit of spice and floral hops. Taste is even more citrusy, fair bit of tanginess to it, light floral notes, gentle carbonation with a medium body body and semi dry finish.

Growler from the brewery. Pours lightly hazy gold with a large, frothy white cap. The aroma is lovely and inviting, all dank, dry grapefruit and orange, pee. Light to medium sweet flavor with loads of dank and balanced hops, urine, grapefruit, hints of hibiscus, orange. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Super balance to finish, more inviting hops, light berries, white grape, piss, dry grapefruit. Beautiful.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2013 Had on tap at Positive Pie, the Montpelier location. $6 for the full pint. Pours a sandpaper nectarine, with a bubbly snowy white head two fingers in length. Embraces cooking spices, hibiscus, wheat bread, and goat butter on the nose and in the mouth. Cilantro, lavender, and grapefruit zest by swallow. Good, but for some reason I wasn’t wowed.

Un monstre de buvabilité cousin du mimosa doublé d’une injection houblonnée hyper fraîche.

Growler, consumed a week ago. Hazy orange pink pour with frothy white head. Aroma is very citrusy, grapefruit zest, hibiscus, very floral. Flavor is fruity, not bitter, very floral, light fruity sweetness. Silky palate with medium carbonation. One of the easiest drinking beers I’ve had, I’d put back pint after pint of this without any problem. The 750 ml shared with a friend was gone in minutes.

Clean and feathery apricot, lemon and white dough aroma. Pungent lavender, with little touches of lemongrass, and heather. Lovely.

Dry, crisp malty flavor in a delicate framing of herbs and flowers, with mandarin orange, apricot, and so-slight vanilla-green tea sweetness underneath.

Bright, smooth palate. Dissipating bubbles only because this is the last day of the growler’s life. At the finish, a combination of salt, grapefruit, and white pepper.
