Bottle, courtesy of Benzai. Pours a pitch black beer with a big brownish head on top. Aroma has massive bourbon, oak, caramel, nuts, molasses, sugar. Amazingly full, tasty and complex aroma. Flavour is sweet, boozy, loads of bourbon again. Woody presences, slightly boozy. Amazing full body, great complexity and overall just an amzing brew!! Wow!!

Bottle shared with MrHangover. Opaque pitch black color, medium to full sized thick dark brown head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, bourbon, chocolate, light vanilla. Taste malts, light roast, heavy bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, more chocolate, more bourbon, oak, moderately bitter with a sweet vanilla-chocolate-oak-bourbon touch. Perfect oily texture, full body, perfect soft yet suitable carbonation. Bloody hell this is awesome!

Bomber courtesy of Hackobock. Pours viscous pitch black with a creamy dark mocha head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass when dissipating. Smell is malty and tiny boozy with roasted malts, burnt caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, charred wood, high quality dark chocolate, coffee dipped almond biscuits, toasted coconut, hazelnut and almond paste, Black Forest cake, moist soil and bourbon alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter and malty. Mouthfeel is fat, soft, viscous, round, slightly roasted astringent, slightly boozy and near full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, burnt cookies, vanilla fudge, charred wood, luxurious dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, almond pastries, chocolate covered cherries, toasted coconut, moist soil and bourbon alcohol. Just as huge, decadent and tasty as the base biscotti break but with an added bourbon complexity making this an even more intriguing and tasty brew than it already was.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate chocolate syrup molasses, caramel, vanilla, and bourbon. It’s a dark brown with no transparency and a small beige head. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate, caramel, and vanilla. The finish has light-moderate maple syrup, light roasted malt, light bourbon, and a touch of oak. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel.

Bottle @ ZEBF 2015. The aroma of this beer is quite divine, strong notes of cookie, vanilla and caramel. Taste is extermely rich and full, with cookie, vanilla, bourbon booze, caramel and some chocolate. Fantastic.

Thanks, Brian, for this one. Poured into snifter. Dark black body, brown head. Attractive. Aroma of rich cocoa, dark chocolate, bourbon, anise. Taste is rich and complex array of roasted malts but well balanced with sweetness, caramel, vanilla, liquorice. Very nice beer.

Bottle. Pours inky black, medium brown head, dissipates fairly quickly leaving nice residual and lacing. Aroma is bourbon, wood, anise, chocolate, vanilla, molasses. Quite tannic. Flavor is pretty sweet, medium bitter, boozy, woody, vanilla chocolate, a hint of coconut, molasses, bourbon, a hint of rum. Medium plus body, woody astringency and a lot of heat on this one, which is a bit of a distraction.

Had some higher hopes from this brew as what it deliverd. Missed a small boost for me. Still very nice ofcourse, like most of Evil Twin.
