Bottle via trade. Nose is muted when cold, probably should have had this a bit warmer from the bottle. Initially slightly nutty with a bit of almond. Pour is a straight black ink color with a light brown head. Taste is nutters complex. a very sweet chocolate, almost fudge flavor. light notes of vanilla and nuts. Dark cocoa notes as it warms. holy cow this is like barrel aged desert in a glass. The chocolate just continues to rise in a very sweet almost cloying manner. solid boost.

Bomber. Black, tan head. Aroma gives great bourbon, dark chocolate, mocha, brown sugar, sweet caramel, vanilla-tinged barrel. Taste is full of chocolate and deep caramel, loads of bourbon, deep roast malt, some lighter chocolate, good vanilla and heavier barrel notes. Light roast coffee. Medium full body. Finish on bourbon and chocolate, darker roasty stuff. Bit of booze too. Lingering chocolate, toffee and a bit of coffee, with a barrel sweetness. Great.

22oz. bottle. Aroma of sweet, dark chocolate, vanilla wafer, cookie, chocolate syrup, faint wood, bourbon, cherry, faint coffee, burnt sugar, and brownie/chocolate cake. Very dessert-like, apparently. Solid brown-black in color with a very slight head and sparse lacing. Flavor profile is similar to the aroma, very fudgy and chocolatey with plenty of dark sweetness, old wood, vanilla and a touch of fruity, cherryish tartness in the background, some light-moderate bitterness appearing late as well. Sweetness is luckily very much offset by the acidity and roasty bitterness. Thick and low in effervescence on the palate, huge in body. Very nice, perhaps even better than anticipated.

22 oz bottle split 4 ways. Pour is pitch black with a decent tan head. Nose has loads and loads of bourbon notes, vanilla fudge, caramel, milk chocolate and some booze. Taste is super smooth ,sweet chocolate, vanilla. Really sweet but super good anyways!

A big thanks to Jeppe! Alright, so this one pours freaking black with a nice dark brown head. The aroma on this naughty boy is just intensely sweet bourbon forward with all the sweet bourbon notes you want from a bourbon barrel aged black liquid. Coconut, vanilla, rich coffee, milk chocolate, dark dried fruits, caramel and some fudge notes. Really nice! The taste is sweet but yet balanced out. I get the Dark sweet fruits, some coffee, roasted malts, toffee, slick vanilla, chocolate cake, caramel fudge and sweet bourbon notes. Just goes that extra mile for me.

Bomber thanks to Jeppe!! Pours a pitch black with a big, frothy, dark brown head. Aroma has bourbon, coconut, vanilla, raisins, dough, sweetness, chocolate, both dark and milk chocolate. slight booze, coffee and as it heats up lots of dried, dark fruits. Taste has raisin sweetness, lots of milk chocolate, bourbon, roasty and coffee bitterness. Overall lots of sweet, chocolate and bourbon notes. Extremely nice, fat body with medium low carbonation. Really really good!!

Bottle. Thanks Jeppe! Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aromas of bourbon, caramel, fudge, some vanilla, roasted coffee beans, some dark melted chocolate, some raisins, sweet dark fruits. Taste is pretty much bourbon up front, with some rich chocolate coming through, slight licorice, some raisin sweetness, roasted coffee, fudge, vanilla.

Poured from bomber into tulip. Little head that quickly dissipated. inviting aroma bursting with chocolate and accented by bourbon. Taste is initially loaded with semisweet chocolate and little roast and finishes with a noticeable, but well managed, heat. The barrel is smoothly integrated, but i do wish it was more assertive. this is a well executed and sophisticated beer, but not worth the $23 i paid for it. Drop the price $8 and we’re talking.

Bottle, courtesy of b3shine (thanks a lot Beau!), shared at game night with Parksy, phantomhennes, and heavylaevy. Viscous near black with brickish highlights and a dense brown head. Amazingly complex aroma, sweet with notes of treacle, almond, vanilla, and subtle light sweet smoke. Densely flavoured, complex palate; dark caramel, chocolate, vanilla, toasted marshmallow, coffee, sweet bourbon notes, leather, light wood smoke. The balance here is nearly perfect, thanks to the heaviness of the base beer. Oddly enough, I found this to be less sweet/cloying than the original. The barrel character really elevates this.

Bomber from Beaumont. Pours a jet black color with a medium thick brown head. The aroma is heavy woody bourbon. As sweet as the base is it is amazing that the barrel dominates this beer with huge bourbon heat, vanilla, tobacco, coffee. The barrel is just amazing up there with the best treatments. The base dries out and is almost a tobacco earthy tar heart now. Wonderful. This is a beast. The longer I drink it I get more ashy smoky barrel. Damn.
