COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Unfiltered
Grisette Ambrée revives the tradition of summer beers (Saisons) brewed in times gone by. This beer, which is darker than the other Grisettes, is also the strongest and most distinctive. It offers the palate a rich taste and has a full-bodied, generous head.

Lubiere (22831) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 26, 2007
An hazed dark amber ale with a thick big bubbled off white head. Aroma of caramel malt and oxidation. In mouth, a sweetish malt with light fruity esters, ripe apples, and surprinsing hoppyness, compared to other Grisette. Some lactic points developping. Medium bodied. BB 26-10-06. Bieropholie private order.

Hazy amber with a small white head. Sweet fruit and yeast aroma: really very nice. The taste is dull and watery. There’s a lot of fizz and some subdued sourness and bitterness.

Rastacouere (6175) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 5, 2006
Nicely lacing head which leaves large sheets of off-white foam around the glass sides. Otherwise, the pour is totally clear and of an earthy caramel color. Smelling, it does feel rather shy and unexpressive, leaving an impression of cerealic grains, some perhaps underfermented malts comprising a good dose of residual sugars, yet not managing to give anything resembling a caramelly suggestion. In mouth, it feels surprisingly hoppy compared to the other grisettes. A good slicing herbal/leafy aromatic combination does give the impression of increased dryness. The bitterness remains unagressive, imparting a slight lagery character, though the carbonation is obviously too creamy, if active for that. Slightly vegetal aspects, but I can’t say they don’t intermingle nicely with the bready and herbal notes. Simple and approachable beer, but you’re not gonna lift any hearts with that one.

Eructoblaster (8425) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 27, 2006
Bottle. Nice cloudy amber body topped with a decent off-white foamy head. Fair malty/hoppy aroma with herbal notes. Taste is dominated by hoppiness. It also carries some oaky hints. Ends with a decent bitter finish. OK, but not impressive.

saxo (28277) - Over Hornbæk, Randers, DENMARK - AUG 8, 2006
Bottle. Nice head but it fades right away. Color is amber. Decent aroma of caramel and malt. Taste is sweet and a bit acidic.

CapFlu (5136) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 17, 2006
(25cl bottle) Purchased through the Bieropholie/SAQ importations. Pours a quick dissipating white head with a hazy, orange amber body. Nose of mild caramel malt and slight whiskey barrel. Flavour of a full palate of caramel malt and thin corn finish. Fairly plain by comparasion and overly malty. Could use some counter balance.

madbeer101 (11906) - Søborg, DENMARK - JUL 15, 2006
Bottled. Light amber coloured. Uncleaer. Dense beige head. Sweetness, yeast, fruity, light spice in the aroma. Flavour is fruity and pruny. Has some cocoanotes. Yeast detectable again. Is a bit thin and bland. In a way its quite perfumed. Is light citricc and fruity in the end. Decent ale.

Storm (2684) - Amager, DENMARK - MAY 6, 2006
25 cl bottle. Yeast at the bottom. Amber colour with a weak head. Aroma og caramel, toffee and someway little nutty. Flavour of toffee, sweetness and hints of caramel. Not a beer for me.
