UPDATED: DEC 26, 2020 Bottle. Hazy yellow, yellowish foam. Aroma: a little wild, pear, other fruits, slightly sourness, white homemade wine, a little wine vinegar, herbaceous hops. Good taste, dense malt, slightly sour and wild, fruity, pear, seeds, soft, interesting.

UPDATED: MAR 28, 2020 Le résultat de cette 1894, triple vieillie en fût de chêne est très atypique, notamment à cause d'aigreur et d'acidité qui proviennent je pense du vieillissement en fût qui la rende difficilement classable. Cela fait tout de même un mélange particulier et surtout trop hétérogène. Le visuel est sur un blond trouble, une fine effervescence moyennement soutenue avec une mousse blanche d'un cm d'épaisseur. Le nez est aigre sur le chêne, le citron, le zest d'orange, une légère banane avec à la fois une présence de l'amertume et de l'alcool relativement prégnante. On retrouve ces arômes sur l'attaque sur une aigreur et acidité relativement marquée. On arrive tout de même à retrouver en sous-jacent la base de la triple avec des arômes de céréales, miel, pêche, banane et coriandre. La deuxième bouche sur une bonne ampleur présente de légers arômes de poivre en complément. L'arrière, qui ne convainc pas, est bien plus acide, sur une dominante citron. Le final, d'une bonne longueur est davantage sur l'amertume, fraîche et sur un bon élancement. L'alcool, même s'il ne se ressent pas directement avec ses 8 %, confère une bonne ossature. Je ne suis pas tout à fait certain que c'était le résultat attendu par le brasseur, et j'hypothèse plutôt pour un effet non souhaité du vieillissement pour une triple désorientée.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2020 Golden colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have sweetness of sultanas and dried tropical fruit. The oak adds a well rounded dryness and a slight tinge of sharpness too.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2019 Bottle, small bubbly head, cloudy deepish orange color, aroma of a little over ripe oranges, vanila and wood, flavor of citrus, fruitiness and vanila, lightish sourness, light to medium sweetness. Nice but a bit heavy and not too complex.
