COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oro Negro spawned from our unwavering compulsion to experiment. Infusing imperial stouts with spices, fruits, and woods has been a staple at our bottle releases since 2009. Oro Negro is the culmination of note-taking and listening to our patrons. Our cherished Oil of Aphrodite was infused with cacao nibs, vanilla beans, habaneros, and cinnamon sticks. A refined stout filled with rich character and a touch of heat.

Mortlach (4780) - Rome, ITALY - MAR 3, 2024
UPDATED: APR 28, 2024 Tasting @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino media. Al naso note di malti tostati, cioccolato, cannella, vaniglia, peperoncino. In bocca è abboccata all'attacco, etilica, speziata, con chiusura amara a bilanciere. Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. In genere non amo questo genere di birre, ma questa è di fattura splendida!

dflb (635) - California, USA - DEC 18, 2020
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2020 Procured at El Cerrito Liquor from Corona, California for $11.99, Oro Negro is a stout brewed with walnuts and conditioned on spices crafted by Jackie O’s Brewery from Athens, Ohio. The scent of chocolate, espresso, vanilla, and cinnamon are noted as you drink. The appearance is pitch black that pours a half finger of khaki head. When held up to light, no light shines through. Dark mahogany shows when light reflects off the beer. The alcohol content is 10%. Chocolate is fairly rich accented by a fairly bitter, nutty cacao nibs. Habanero moderately spices the take and lingers fairly into the relatively dry finish. Anise is sensible upon the habanero tinge. Espresso slightly boosts the bitter take and textures the mouthfeel. Roasted malt deepens the chocolate, habanero, and espresso mixture, which is underscored by cinnamon. Vanilla beans smoothens and tones the drink along with the chocolate feel. Caramel malt colors the chocolate, roasted malt, and espresso combination. Prunes sweetens the chocolate, caramel malt, and vanilla bean solution. Raisins sustains the sweet tone into the finish. Oak gives a woodsy hue upon the malt, espresso, and habanero composition. Walnuts are distant until you notice it upon the chocolate and vanilla profile. Oro Negro is a scintillating stout. Chocolate, cacao nibs, habanero, anise, espresso, roasted malt, cinnamon, vanilla beans, caramel malt, prunes, raisins, oak, and walnuts merge into a tasteful craft beer. Chocolate and vanilla beans make the libation easy to drink while the roasted and caramel malts provide depth. The caramel malt, prune, and vanilla bean solution is mesmerizing to the complexion. Habanero and anise excites the take and comprehension, where espresso blends marvelously. The habanero spice is moderate right out of the bottle, yet easier to experience at room temperature. I treasured each drink and impressed by the complexity and depth this brew brings. Cheers. Prost. Drink for the love of beer.

SinH4 (15470) - Garching bei München, GERMANY - OCT 3, 2020
UPDATED: OCT 3, 2020 2017 bottle. Black color with dense beige head. Aroma is vanilla, cocoa, walnuts perhaps indeed, cinnamon, quite sweet and does not seem heavy in the nose. Taste is a great combination of cinnamon and walnuts, just the right amount of chili heat in the back. A tiny touch of soy sauce in the finish, perhaps because this is not the freshest anymore. Velvety mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Immense drinkability for this strength, almost feels watery (but just almost). I like!

Guaro (333) - Ello, ITALY - AUG 18, 2020
Carbonazione bassissima.

DraftDodger (7653) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 22, 2020
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2020 Copenhagen 22/6 2020. 37,6 cl bottle from Vild med Vin Web-shop. Some scantily clad Queen drawn in a classic newspaper comics style with a hissing lizard in the background. Pours opaque dark brown with a medium-sized light beige head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is intense with a strong cake- and candy-like sweetness. Chocolate cake, cinnamon, vanilla cocoa, brown sugar. Light odor of dark fruit saturated in sweet liquor. Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, soft, sticky, fat, creamy texture. Light tingling sensation. Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a very moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and spicy. Finish is sweet with a notable chili burn. Well made and potent. Quite dominated by sweet spices usually associated with Christmas cakes which is a matter of preference.
