COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
While standing on Mount Mitchill, scanning our favorite local beaches, you can find paddles of the indigenous prickly pear cactus underfoot. Once you learn how to peel them (being careful of the less obvious finer thorns), there is a pleasing spring legume sweetness to be found. With Dune Fruit we add the meat of prickly pear paddles to a simply soured wheat beer to draw out their subtle vegetable sweetness and cut their viscidity with some acid. A delicate balance of vegetal and brightness in the form of an unassuming sour. Drink Dune Fruit because it’s the top of the summer and it’s time to shift that palate back to the sand.

Can from Sparrow. Clear, no head or lace. Bright and clean sour with the prickly pear coming through as a watermelon and citrus zest type flavor. Nice, clean, tart, easy drinking.

Growler from Joe Canal's in Iselin, NJ. Bright yellow gold color. Small white ring of foam remains faithful to the end. Tart acidic fruit nose. Flavor is crisp and citric. Notes of white wine, hay and Meyer lemons. Tart and intense, with subtle lactic notes you'd expect with a Berliner Weisse styled beer. Drinking this on last weekend of summer and it is quite refreshing.

Pours a clear golden/orange with very little head...some thin white bubbles. Aroma has a slight sweetness not unlike mountain dew...sone light citrus, muted pair, and a fleeting berry note. Flavor is tart and almost salty liike a gose...lemony with a notable cactus/agave funkiness...minerally. mouthfeel is light and lively with a dry, tart lemony/grainy finish. Really nice and complex beer.

Can. Pours crystal clear pale golden with a small fizzy white head that dissipates quickly leaving minimal lacing. Aroma is wheat, lemon, pretty simple. Flavor is wheat and lemon with a light fruitiness. Very light sweetness on top of a light tartness. Not really complex but certainly quite drinkable.
