COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep in the labs at TG, through the vaulted door, down the steps, and past the room labeled "Beware the Leopard" lies an experiment forgotten. For over a year it remained dormant, calculating the precise moment of return to unleash the ultimate blend of hops. Finally, escape! This unbridled force descends upon the unsuspecting Masses. Can you handle it?

Bottle. Yellow pour with white head. Herbal, floral, citrus, hop aromas. Flavors are herbal, floral and grassy hop and light malty notes.

From notes (Nov 2015). There’s an absolutely ludicrous disconnect between the packaging on this bottle and the liquid inside. The label says "XHOPS" with lightening flying around, but the actual beer is good but extremely light and restrained. It’s actually kinda boring, although it was nice with dinner.

Strong citrus, thin body of mostly nectarine and melon, light floral notes, finishing with moderate hops and a bit of a soapy aftertaste.

Had on-tap at the source. Received into a pint glass. 3.5 A: Moderately hazed dark yellow color. Arrived nearly full but did leave a dense ring of lacing. 4.0 S: Another hoppy beer (duh). Mix of citrus and earthy hoppiness. Orange with earthy spiciness almost like a rye beer. Grassiness in there too! Lots of complexity all from the hop side. Neutral maltiness. 4.0 T: Mild bitterness. Hops as per above but grassiness comes through more. Like the nose, moderate neutral malt base. 3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. A touch bity with a mild creaminess. 3.75 D: Another solid IPA. So many IPAs, haha. ★ 642 characters DavoleBomb, Dec 07, 2015

I just wrote a review where I didn’t have anything to say because nothing stood out. This one is the opposite, it’s just damn good. Big, malty, fresh hops, and tropical fruit flavors.

Shared bomber poured to snifters, showing a hazed, orangey gold color, with a modest layer of soft white head foam that quickly diminished to a light film, bubbly ring, and spots of lacing. The nose was earthy, herbal, grass & greenery, with just a touch of esters as dried fruit & orange zest. Light to medium bodied, with okay carbonation, and a touch of sweetness. Tried soon after the Light Speed and found this Pale to have a danker flavor. A bit more fruitiness, and less jungle would have balanced it off a little better for me.

650 mL bottle. Clear orange. Smells of pungent orange and grapefruit. Sweet smelling, too. Taste is a little bit less bright. Orange peel. Sweet pale malt. Light grain. Candy sweetness in the back end. Light body. Not the most exciting variety of Xhops, but even a mediocre beer from Toppling Goliath is better than most.

I was really looking forward to this after how much I love psuedosue but unfortunately it somewhat flopped for me. The flavor was a little bland and dry mouthed.

Pours with light color, lacing and carbonation. Very mildly-hopped, flavor is dominated by lemony citrus notes. I much prefer other offerings from TG.
