UPDATED: SEP 5, 2019 Bottle pour at La Fabrique. The beer is a clear amber to brown with a beige head of foam. The aroma has a strong woody oak character with a mild smoke and mint. Earthy and woody. Bigger body and medium carbonation.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2018 Robe ambrée, fines bulles nombreuses. Nez sur le chocolat, une pointe de café. Bouche fumée avec des saveurs de caramel. Finale très courte. Agréable.

Backlog rating LCRBM/Bruxellensis 2006: Cloudy amber, low head. Smoky, fruity nose, minerals. Honeyish malt, peach, apple. Light body. Salty aftertaste.

Bottle 33cl brought from Belfort by Arnaud thanks. A dark beer with low head. Nose is on dark caramel and peated touch. Aroma is intense on smoked notes, dark malt, chocolate, mostly dry, in the german style of smoke, bit low on the body side but pleasant and properly done, good. Long peated notes on aftertaste.

Pours a dark amber with a small tan head. Aromas are roasted malts, biscuit, caramel and smoke. Medium carbonation. Interesting taste, but not as balanced and complex as the German Rauchbiers.

The head is medium, the body brown. It smells strong darkmalty, intensive smoked, aromatic, balanced. the taste is smoky, intensive malty, hoppy. Good 11/12/12/11/11/11

A murky dark amber ale with milky hues, and a thick receding mocha head. In aroma, a sweet nutty malt with peaty notes, a bit of boiled corn. In mouth, a smooth peaty malt with light smooth acidity, light treacle, nice. Bottle is about 1 yr old, from Paris.
