UPDATED: APR 18, 2024 2016 Bottle at the Cantillon Brewery, 18th April 2024. Pours an off clear orange. Aroma is wood, barrel, liquor, musty, complex. Taste is intense, musty, wood, liquor, tart, you can taste the age. It’s lovely and mellow, classic stuff

mcberko (41859) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 7, 2024
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2024 750mL bottle, pours a bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out plenty of barnyard funk, tangy vinous notes, and a touch of leather. Flavour is tangy, with plenty of wine tang, gentle funk, leather, and some citrus. Very tangy, citrusy; unusual wine barrel character. Far from my favourite Cantillon, but this is very nice of course.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2024 [Bruxelles, Cantillon] [Vintage 2016] Aroma: Huge Vin Jaune, dominating nutty notes, oxidation, curry, oak and underlying stone fruits Appearance: Clear golden orange with a small everlasting white head Taste: Mildly sweet and moderately acidic, nutty, curry, oak, mild stone fruits, and slight lemon peel Mouthfeel: Smooth oily texture with mild carbonation Overall: Huge thanks to Jean for opening this on my first day as an intern. Delicious!!😋🍾

brokensail (21480) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 4, 2023
UPDATED: SEP 4, 2023 Oysters & Gueuze 2023. Cloudy golden beer with a white head. Has a lot of grape character to it. Brandy, sherry, and vanilla notes as well. Tart grape and citrus with a mild funk. Actually has a decent sweetness to it. Get a really nice fruit character as it warms that is balanced pretty well, particularly how acidic I find a lot of Cantillon's beers. Solid.

Hopverdju (5752) - BELGIUM - AUG 12, 2023
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2023 75cl fles. Goudblond bier met wat wit schuim. Geur: licht zurig, hout, noten, ietwat stoffig.

Fruity, tart taste with notes of green apples, grapes, white wine, oak wood, barnyard, vinegar and a dry and tart finish. Medium body, dry. Solid and well made, with a good wine barrel character and a harmonious tartness. Excellent!
