courtesy of Roland Graber - cloudy dark blond beer under a creamy white foam; aroma of mango, wheatr and bread; creamy palate, medium-bodied, low carbonation, decently sourish, quite dry corny, fruity, smooth and tasty

Hackney Bottleshare. Thanks to Mr T. Very light haze on this paleish gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Light dry malts. Slightly bitter floralness. Mild saison herb. A little spice and a little dry citrus. Light dry finish. A straight down the line saison and thus inevitably, a bit dull.

July 2017 - Bottle share at LKS. Thanks Tipple! As '523 Horatio'. Vibrant orange, hazy -pretty much cloudy- and opaque, still. Foamy off-white head leaves light lacing. Aroma is celery and stones, grapefruit. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is stones, dusty, floral, dry and chalky, wheaty with a dry, white pepper finish. One of the least impressive beers I've had from this brewery, but still solid enough. (6-4-6-4-14=3.4)

Sweet grain malts, molasses, light barnyard, straw. Hazy gold, small, frothy, white head. Light bitter. More sweet grain malts, caramel, light yeast, very light barnyard, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Lacks intensity for a Saison, too sweet, too malty. Bottle shared at Leighton’s - sourced at CraftGallery, Bern.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Tipple. Pours murky gold with a slight, creamy, white head. The nose has wheat, yeast, melon, straw, tangerine. Medium sweet flavour with a little bitter wheat grains, more melon, tangerine, pine needles. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Sweet finish, with doughy wheat bread, straw, more yeast. Decent stuff.

Ritzn (4598) - GERMANY - MAY 9, 2017
Murky yellow with medium white head. Aroma is citrus zest, orange zest, fizzy tablet, grapes, pepper. Taste is a bit thin fruity sourness and bitterness. Medium drinkable, a bit watery actually, no well grounded base. Still not bad.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2017 Bottle, many thanks anstei! Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is grapes, tropical fruits, peppery yeasts. Taste is peppery, tropical fruits, very mineraly, not so doughy. High but soft carbonation, silky mouthfeel. Lacks the rustic magic the great Saison examples have that makes you want to drink gallons of it. Still very nice!
