UPDATED: MAR 4, 2020 12 oz bottle (Old Notes) Pours black with a nice head. Aroma of cherry, chocolate, coffee, and roasted malt. Taste of the same. This full bodied brew is well balanced and downright kicks ass.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2019 Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Thanks Joe! Pours a pitch black with a finger of beige foam that lingers. Huge tart cherry juice aromas with cacao nib and light roasted malt notes. Big black forest cake aromas and flavors. Body is a tad thin, but doesn't take away from the experience or flavor. Lingering cherry juice and 80% cacao. Relatively smooth and flavors well-integrated.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Courtesy of a friend, thanks Tyler! Dark brownish with beige head. Aromas of cherry, malt. Tastes of tart cherries, malt, light caramel, maybe a little cocoa. Medium body with a dry finish. Stout character mostly gets lost from all the cherry notes. Probably wouldn't guess this was a stout if I had it blind.

Jess doesn’t drink a lot of beer these days, but after a sip of this one, she asked for the full pour. An exceptional fruity stout. Rich and malty, some chocolate, with a thin, acidic cherry finish. Delicious.

Draft. Pours dark reddish-black with light pink-tan head and lacing. Nose of roasted malt and cherries. Cherries dominates upfront followed by some roasted malt. More cherries and cherry skins along with chocolate notes in the finish.

Pours a deep reddish brown from 2017 bottle with bubbly khaki colored head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of dark toasted bread, lightest of roast, slight chocolate, and light metallic fruitiness. Taste is way fruitier than I was expecting, but not like the metallic cherry nose. Sweet and toasty, jammy cherry chocolate, interesting. Light for a stout, but not bad at all.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 12/21/2017. Pours slightly hazy dark reddish brown color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big juicy and lightly tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin, lemon, almond, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, and toasted brown bread; with light notes of cocoa, coffee, vanilla, oak, herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/bready/light roasted malts, cherries, and light fruity yeast/oak barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy and lightly tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin, lemon, almond, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, and toasted brown bread; with light notes of cocoa, coffee, vanilla, oak, herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light fruit tang/tartness and herbal/roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy cherries, fruit skin, lemon, almond, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, toasted brown bread, light coffee/oak, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malts, cherries, and light fruity yeast/oak barrel flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from fruit tang/tartness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly acidic/tangy/tannic/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.5%. Overall this is an excellent fruit stout! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready/light roasted malts, cherries, and light fruity yeast/oak barrel flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly tart/tangy/drying finish. This is definitely different, but it works so well. Great balance of jammy cherries and a mildly roasty stout malt bill; with touches of wild yeast and oak. The mellow roast helps showcase the cherries a lot better. A really enjoyable offering.

Poured from 12oz brown bottle into a nucleated schooner, an opaque dark reddish brown with sudsy beige foam, long-lasting with lots of sticky lace. Malty sweet, oasty, nutty, chocolatey, hint of light-roasted coffee, fruity with a huge dose of tart cherries, a little amaretto flavour presumably from the pits. Very subdued oak-essence, just a little lacto yogurty bite like a Flanders Red ale. Light body, above-average carbonation, lingering complex cherry and stout aftertastes. Absolutely delicious, thanks Dylan!
