huineman (1364) - Madrid, SPAIN - AUG 3, 2018Now this is some good West Coast double IPA, in the style of Plinny the Elder (yes), even though it comes from England in a can. I don't know why it's been rated so low till now, to be honest.
33 cl can bought at Más que Cervezas, Madrid, served in red wine glass. It pours dark hazy amber, pretty much like honey. Head is off-white, rocky and long-lasting.
Aroma is intense, with loads of tropical fruit (think mango and passionfruit, also apricot) and conifers (such as resin, pine needle or cedar cone), along with lots of honey.
Mouthfeel is slick, crisp, zesty and full-bodied, with a super bitter finish that doesn't kick because sourness balances perfectly the equation. Aftertaste is conifers and more conifers, all of them. Gr-r-r-reat!!
