Oakes (30681) - Richmond, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 27, 2023
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2023 This was listed as a BA version but I'm not seeing much evidence that exists but the one I had was also 10.5%. Dark brown, not much head. Heavy rye whiskey, soft malt, light dark malt…base is okay, barrel a bit heavy for the base.

Ibrew2or3 (10534) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAR 29, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 29, 2021 Pint can pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up roasted malts, malt balls, a spicy kind of blend with fresh stewed dates and then a bit of chocolate. The taste delivers some of the expected flavor players with some roasted malts mixed with an all too microscopically thin layer of sweet dark fruity ester jamminess flowing into some chocolate malt notes. So that's pretty solid. It does come across a little too velvety and imperial like but most of the flavors are there. The only one I'm missing is a hint of earthy tobacco to pull this thing together. Ether way this is still a solid offering.

ryanscourt (1851) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 21, 2020
UPDATED: JUN 21, 2020 Boozy but not too warm. Bold flavors. Drinks still thinner. Like the flavors overall, not where I would prefer to put all of my abv in though.

3.8
