Commercial description Old Danish Braggot is based on a 18th century recipe and is brewed according to old Danish traditions by Dansk Mjød A/S in collaboration with Ørbæk Bryggeri. Old Danish Beer is brewed with Vienna and Munich malts, select hops and ginger, the good water from Ørbæk, and then blended with honey wine.
Old Danish Braggot is best chilled and can be drunk to almost anything. History tells us that the Vikings drank Old Danish Braggot called Mjønsøl at festive occasions as a special treat for kings.
The brewer markets this same or near-same product by more than one names. This can be the result of a brewer distributing this beer under different names in different countries, or the brewer simply changing the name, but not the recipe at different points in time.
