ChainGangGuy	3.8 Monday Night Stranger Danger 8 ounce pour - $6.50 at Woodstock Beer Market in Woodstock, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a very dark brown, near black body with a slim, beige-colored ring. Smell: Sugary chocolate, moderate coffee hit with a little cream, mollified roasted malt with a background dark fruitiness. Blunted peanut butter accent. Taste: A sweet, sugar-glazed blend of chocolate and coffee-accented roast malt, though Stranger Danger is, for me, coming up woefully short on the peanut butter addition. Lightly creamy. Dark fruitiness of raisins, date syrup. Warming throughout the sustained sweetness of the finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-light carbonation. Sticky mouthfeel. Overall: Ehh, it's alright. Though fine as a double mash, high ABV, lactose'd, barrel-aged beer, it just fell flat in delivering peanut butter flavor. You can picture a heaping mound of peanut butter at the bottom of a stainless steel tank somewhere for some sad-eyed cellarman to deal with. Friday, December 1, 2023

Appearance: Served up a very dark amber-brown body with a slim, off-white head. Smell: Toasted malts, toasty bourbon barrel notes a thin brushing of molasses and a faint, distant fruitiness. Taste: Sweetish maltiness, predominately toasty, though with a small sliver of roast and molasses amidst the taste of brown sugar. Veers a bit towards some barrel tannins and a little inkling of heat. Modest herbal-toned, tea-like hops. A bit more barrel char bitlets on the fairly drying, warming finish.
