thegreenrooster	4 Port Washington Black Cherry Porter Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is as advertised. Lots of chcolate and cherry. Flavor is a nice dark cherry mixed with a very thick dark chocolate. Reminded me of the cherry cordial’s you would get in the Whitman’s sampler. Reminds me of raspberry zotz from the late 70s, which is probably not a good thing. There’s a honey sweetness, but the raspberry flavor isn’t quite right. Saturday, February 13, 2010

JPDIPSO	3.6 Port Washington Two Headed Monk Doppelbock Dark brown color with hints of umber when held to the light. Sweet malt aromas, with some grain, dark fruit, caramel and hint of spice. Not knowing the style I assumed dubbel. Flavors of sweet toasted malt, dark currants, floral hops and hints of dried grass. Fairly clean and cleaner than I expected from a dubbel. Had to rethink after seeing it is actually a doppel. Perhaps a bit too sweet and at times a bit too much yeast, but a decent dubbel/doppel. Wednesday, September 30, 2009
Ungstrup	1.5 Port Washington Amber Ale Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is buttery with strong notes of diacethyl as well as some caramel. The flavor is sour with notes of butter, diacethyl, and citrus. Thanks Papsoe for sharing. Monday, August 31, 2009

esjaygee	3.4 Port Washington Black Cherry Porter On tap at Hops Haven Brew Haus. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate covered cherry, perhaps a chocolate covered black cherry. Funny the description says a hint of cherry but that’s pretty much all the aroma is. Somewhat of a let down when I get to tasting it, but this isn’t a very good brewery so it’s to be expected. Papsoe	2.2 Port Washington Amber Ale (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Skyview. Pours a hazy deep amber with a rough off-white head. Classic American aroma of caramel and overripe fruit. Medium body with caramel and overripe fruit, somewhat oxidized and then killed by a very distinct underlying acidity and a bad chemical tang. Sour rather than bitter finish. Flavor though was thin, weak, timid and disappointing...even for a pale lager. There was a very light herbal hop not in the finish...and the finish was the best part of this drink. Skyview	3.6 Port Washington Pumpkin Smashing Ale On draught at the brewpub in Sheboygan, Wisconsin as "Pumpkin Smashing Ale." Pours a clear amber brew with a fast dissolving white head. Aroma of typical pumpkin pie filling with some earthy herbs/spices of nutmeg, clove and a touch of cinnamon with light caramel malt. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with a malty bread character with a decent pumpkin pie filling flavors. Finish is semi-sweet, with a lingering nutmeg and pumpkin skin aftertaste. Skyview	2.7 Port Washington Masliftin Oktoberfest On draught at the brewpub in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Pours a clear coppery amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that disipates clean. Aroma of sweet biscuit malt, almost has a corn grits aroma with a touch of flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, a little extra carbonation with flavors of corn grits character, some toffee and a touch of citrus. Finish is semi-sweet with some multi-grain character that quickly finishes clean cut and crisp. One of the lighter märzens I’ve encountered. Saturday, November 24, 2007
JPDIPSO	3 Port Washington Hop-2-It IPA LIghtly hazed dark golden color with a smaller, but thick off-white head. Fresh hop aromas and flavors abound. Mild resin, pine and grapefruit all seem to be present and accounted for. The thing I seem to be missing is the malt. Quite weak in aroma and taste when it comes to the malt. JPDIPSO	3.1 Port Washington Black Cherry Porter Very dark brown with a touch of rudy when held to the light. Medium dark beige head. Aromas quite similar to the Old Port with dark malt and chocolate, but with a hint of cherry. Dark cherry flavors, akin to kool-aid, mixed with a porter do sum up the start. JPDIPSO	3 Port Washington Raspberry Wheat Cloudy straw color with a light hue of pink. Fresh raspberries in the aroma along with a touch of sweet wheat. Flavors of bananas and raspberries. I have to wonder if they have tweaked the recipe from some of the earlier ratings. While there is a slight sugar raspberry flavor, it is balanced by some banana and pale malts. Pours a clear dark redish amber brew (like cherry cola) with a creamy off white head with slow dissolving. Most excellent lacing of all their beers. Aroma of caramel malt, some sweet apples, a touch of toffee and flowery hops. Taste is carbonated, medium bodied and very sweet. Finish is very sweet and almost getting into the barleywine category. Aroma of roasted nuts, light chocolate and caramel. Taste is medium bodied, smooth, with a little metallic aftertaste. Finish is a little watery with a slight powdered cocoa with nuts aftertaste. Aroma of black cherry, a slight chocolate and nutty character. Taste is thick full bodied with more black cherry flavor than chocolate roasted malt. Skyview	3.2 Port Washington Hop-2-It IPA On tap at the Hops Haven brewpub in Sheboygan, WI. Pours a clear burnt golden brew with an average white head and good lacing. Aroma of slight pine hops with a touch of caramel malt. Taste is smooth, creamy with a delayed bite aftertaste. Not as strong hoppy as most other IPAs but is a good light version of most other IPAs.
