The aroma is molasses and brown sugar, cloves, dates, piney hops, pumpernickel, and walnuts. Sweet and yeasty, with a pleasant touch of bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a sharp, lively palate. Body is full and rich. Taste is really nice. Coffee and a little nuttiness up front, strong sour finish. Some of the coffee notes remind me of a nice coffee brew. Monday, July 11, 2016

Malt forward flavor, boozy, big, lots of hops. Very mildly astringent at the end with a bit of charcoal. Slightly chalky mouthfeel. It is pretty good. I have a complaint about the bottle... the stupid wax or plastic they sealed it with is very difficult to remove. I cut myself TWICE on two separate bottles. Wednesday, March 2, 2016
