3.1 BriBri Springs Caribe Sur Barley Wine Draft (at Kaya’s Place, Puerto Viejo). No head. Body is dark amber. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, cookie), lightly hoppy (grapefruit), with notes of alcohol and cinnamon/nutmeg. Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, soft/flat carbonation, moderately to heavily alcoholic. Big and boozy and simple, but the drinkability is actually pretty good...well balanced for this sort of thing. Thursday, February 5, 2015

2.7 BriBri Springs Horizon Pale Ale Draft (at Kaya’s Place, Puerto Viejo). Head is mostly diminishing. Body is light amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (apricot, grapefruit, resin). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation. Like many tropical microbrews, this brewery’s products are on the sweet side...fruity and sweet. Certainly better than the Florida factory’s dreck, though. Thursday, February 5, 2015

3.5 BriBri Springs Oso's Honey Brown Pretty nice although this is not really a brown ale. Made with Belgian yeast and honey kicking in at around 9 percent according to the brewer. Thursday, March 7, 2013

2.5 BriBri Springs Big Choco Sourness was still there so it taste a bit weird for a porter. According to JT who brew I had and old batch and they are still doing a lot of changes to the recipe. Thursday, March 7, 2013

2.9 BriBri Springs Oso's Honey Brown Much better than the cacao beer. Strong aroma of honey. Pours murky light brown. Some malt as well. Taste is very sweet with some residual bitterness from the honey. On tap at Kaya’s. Wednesday, December 26, 2012

2.2 BriBri Springs Big Choco Had a lot of beers with chocolate, but not so many with the cacao fruit itself. This one’s a strange one. Not sure if it’s the bitter/sourness of raw cacao or that the beer is contaminated - probably a little of both. Pours a murky brown, no head but fizzy carbonation. Needs a little work. On tap at Kaya’s in Puerto Viejo. Wednesday, December 26, 2012
