3 Spencer's Green Hop Gold Cask handpull at Thomas Ingoldsby JDW. Canterbury. Clear gold lasting thin white head. Some decent strong hop character Not bitter but the hop oils from the Green hops certainly comes through. A little nettle. Ok Saturday, October 5, 2013

2.5 Spencers Otava JDW, Rochester. Copper Bronze. Slightly misty orange appearance. Clean, sweetish malt. Slightly aggressive hops - seems like a mix of English & American. You get the bite of the American, but none of the sharp fruit and exquisite aroma, and you get the smudgy bitterness of the English. In general it fails for me on several levels. I found a pint quite difficult to cope with. Tuesday, August 13, 2013

3.5 Spencers Otava Cask handpull at County Hotel Ashford. Now this should be fresh given its brewed about a mile away. Clear gold lasting white head. Orange fruity aroma. Fine in mouth and then some bitterness on end but mistly more orange and tangerine fruit with just a touch of dry earthiness. Good Monday, May 27, 2013
