Ridgebrook Forkin Ale
Hazy, copper pour with a white head. The aroma is a little earthy with some wheat and herbal hops. It has a light body with slightly oily texture and lively carbonation. The taste is mildly bitter with a refreshing finish.

It poured a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma was of wheat, bread and light earthiness. The palate was light bodied and crisp. The taste was of wheat, yeast and a hint of citrus with a crisp finish.

Ridgebrook Redwood
Sampled at Microfest. A hazy amber beer with a big creamy egg shell head. Yeast and fruit in the aroma. Not a big nose but it is nice. A malty base. Almost an Irish. Some floral notes including dandelions. Some nice citrus hops in there that are nice. Not a bad beer.

Ridgebrook Forkin Ale
Pint at the Sports Tap in Alton, one of the few places that serve Ridgebrook’s beers. This is deep golden and it had a one finger creamy white head. I got wheat and grain in the aroma but it was not big at all. The flavor was grain with wheat and gentle hops that were somewhat floral but were kind of indistinguishable. Light fruit and some black pepper. Certainly not offensive which it has to be in order to sell where they are sold. Not a great style or a great beer.

Ridgebrook Sweet Tater
As for the Fall seasonal beers, this is probably one of the most palatable ones I've tried. Not at all a fan of typical Pumpkin beers, this one is different, and good. It's color is to be expected from the style, the aroma is blatant gal spices, cinnamon, clove, brown sugar. Taste is what surprised me. Not a typical seasonal pumpkin, but, as the name implies, sweet 'tater. It is actually a beer that makes you want to try it again and again. It's finish is fairly clean with slight lingering clove. Even if you are not a fan if the style (like myself), try it and see for yourself. You know what you like. This one sort of pleasantly surprised me.

Ridgebrook Sweet Tater
I had a couple of pints at the Alton Sports Tap. Served much too cold but it warmed. This was very opaque brown. The aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, and sweet potato. Fortunately I like sweet potatoes. The flavors balance between the spices and the fruit and do it quite nicely. Just a little earth. This is a nice version of what is becoming a Fall classic. Sweet potatoes instead of pumpkin works nicely and makes for an enjoyable beer.

Ridgebrook Hoppy TrAle
Had a couple of pints at the Alton Sporys Tap which is the only place this beer is available. It pours tea brown and is lightly hazed. No foam at all. The aroma light and has flower hops and clover. That is in the flavor, too. Clover honey and ligjt floral notes. Bitterness is mild. Some earth is noted but is light. Malts and grain. This claims to br a gateway beer and that is accurate. The venue is right for that as it is not a craft beer bar at all.
