Round Tower Stout (4.3%)
(from old notes) - Aroma : Medium roasted dark malts, hints of chocolate and coffee with an undertone of blackcurrent and a damp earthy/fusty note. Taste : As aroma. Medium sweetness slightly outweighs roasty bitterness. Quite thin for a stout and actually more like a porter. Pretty good none the less

330ml bottle, batch 150, bought at Hop Beer Shop in Chelmsford and shared back home with Finn and djoeye. Big bubbly, tan-coloured head leaving clingy lacing on the glass. Jet black body. Nicely roasted dark malty aroma, with hints of chocolate. Earthy malts with a delicious chocolate bite to the taste profile followed by a smoothly roasted finish. Fine depth. Enjoying.
