3.6 Great Deep Dos Amantes Irish Red Ale Part of a flight I had at the brewpub -- Pretty good red. On the dry and roasty side, in a good way. Quite enjoyable. Saturday, September 5, 2015

2.8 Great Deep Sirena Pale Ale Part of a flight I had at the brewpub -- A very light beer. Some aromatics of tropical hops, but muted. Flavor was very light. The sessionability of this beer is what made it good. Saturday, September 5, 2015

2.7 Great Deep Che'lu Honey Rye Brown Ale Part of a flight I had at the brewpub -- My least favorite of the flight. It was sweet and the sweetness wasn’t very well balanced. Also, I wish it had more rye spiciness. Saturday, September 5, 2015

3.4 Great Deep Man'hita India Pale Ale Part of a flight I had at the brewpub -- A hazy golden to orange color. Nice subtle tropical fruit aromas. Flavor had a firm bitterness that gave the other hop flavors a good backbone. Very enjoyable, probably my favorite of the flight. Saturday, September 5, 2015

3 Great Deep Maga'lahi Oatmeal Stout Part of a flight I had at the brewpub -- Looked very appealing. Upon tasting I was a little disappointed, it was slightly thin and didn’t have the mouthfeel of most typical oatmeal stouts. Otherwise it was a very good beer. Saturday, September 5, 2015

3.2 Great Deep Man'hita India Pale Ale On tap at the brewpub. Served a deep golden color with a decent head that fades to some lacing. Mild aroma of citrus, some malt sweetness and bit of grain. Taste is a mixture of citrus and pine with a malt sweetness and some grain in the background. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Fairly medium body, crisp and somewhat refreshing. Not bad for a local brewed IPA on a tropical island. Wednesday, October 10, 2012

3.8 Great Deep Oatmeal Stout On tap at the brewpub. The bartender said it was on nitro, but I’m not sure I believe it. Anyway, Black with a pretty thin brown head. Nice coffee and chocolate aromas, roasty. Typical silky body associated with the style. Plenty of coffee flavor, nice semisweet chocolate bite. Tuesday, December 13, 2011

3.5 Great Deep Winter Ale Served on tap at the brewpub. The appearance is a deeper dark brown with a red glowing edge. Not too much head on this one. The aromas are mild with some juniper, light doses of spruce, and a kiss of cinnamon sticks. The flavors are a mild roasted malt, nice juniper additions, and spruce accents. The mouth is more medium bodied with a light bitter finish from the spruce. A flavorful but mildly intense winter ale. Thursday, January 27, 2011

3.4 Great Deep Man'hita India Pale Ale Draft at the brewpub. Darker golden yellow. Nose is mild hops. Flavors at hoppy but the hops are not supper fresh tasting. Good orange peel and light pine resin. Decent IPA for the island. Wednesday, January 7, 2009

4 Great Deep Imperial IPA Draft at the brewpub.(Resampled 4/13/09 was advertised as imperial pilsner this time but tasted pretty much the same. Pours a golden with a lacing white head. Sweet hop nose. Flavors almost tropical. Lots of fruits like pineapple, mango, etc. Reminds a bit of Hawaiian Punch. Mouth has a decent effervescence to it, also very smooth and refreshing. Nice bitter finish. Very enjoyable island tasting beer. Wednesday, January 7, 2009

3.9 Great Deep Oatmeal Stout Draft at the brewpub. Deep brown with a off white to tan head. Malt and oat to the nose. Flavors similar, also a bit of a sour component to the brew. Pretty good for the island. Re sampled on 4/10/09. 20 oz pour from the tap. Poured a lot darker. Nose was deep roasted malt. The beer entered strong with brewed coffee. Flavors built with more of a nicely roasted malt. Mouth was full with a little bitterness to it. This was much improved from the previous time. My rating if for the latest tasting. 3.5 Great Deep Sirena Pale Ale Draft at the brewpub. Flavors almost hefe-like. Some sweet malts too. Mouth has a light bitter finish. Resampled at the brewpub. The appearance is a more pale gold with some small white head. The aromas are nice with a bitter earthy hop tone. The flavors are a great medium strength bitter grassy hop. Nice medium malt balance. The mouth is moderately drying. Solid pale ale. Wednesday, January 7, 2009

1.3 Great Deep Belgian Tripel Draught. The beer was poured with absolutely no head. Had a dark orange color that was very transparent. The aroma was virtually non-existent. Flavor was little more than peach flavored rubbing alcohol. The 8% alcohol was very pourly integrated into the beer. Not their best and maybe their worst. Friday, January 18, 2008

3 Great Deep Oktoberfest Pretty good beer. Lots of hops. Amber brownish colour. Small head due to the poor pouring technique of the barstaff. I’d recommend a try. Sunday, September 30, 2007

3.6 Great Deep Oatmeal Stout From tap. Rerate. Black with a bubbly tan head that dissapates to a film. Somewhat chocolatey smell but dominated by coffee. Flavor is smokey with lots of coffee tones and some cigar and charcoal. VERY easy to drink and enjoyable. My favorite at the Great Deep Brewing Co. Saturday, October 7, 2006

3.9 Great Deep Oatmeal Stout [Bottled from tap, many thanks to Zappa Was Right!] Black. Intense aroma of roasty coffee and dark chocolate. Fairly sweet with medium-full body. Densely malty with creamy mouthfeel and notes of tar and licorice. Lingering salty bitterness. A compact, flavourful very American style stout that is really good! Wednesday, June 14, 2006

3.2 Great Deep Dos Amantes Irish Red Ale Poured a cloudy reddish brown with a thick beige head. Hoppy aroma. Taste is more like an IPA, it has a nice hop profile. Some citrus and some earth hop notes. Tangy finish. Good. Friday, July 30, 2004

3.4 Great Deep Manhita Scottish Ale After straightening out the tap situation at Mac & Marti in Guam, I realized this was a pretty good Scottish ale and not a very good Irish Red ale. Poured a cloudy butterscotch color with a medium off white head. Hoppy, somewhat skunky aroma. Earthy hop flavor. The smokiness is light up front but after a few sips, it becomes more pronounced in the finish. Good. Friday, July 30, 2004
