Bulk_Carrier	3 Maine Coast Bar Harbors Best Bitter Reviewed from notes. On tap at brewpub. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a dark copper/Red color. Bar pour’s kind of slim white head left no lacing. The smell had a decent light caramel/nutty/English maltiness ( light soapiness). The taste was pretty much the same. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. It left a nice creamy texture over my tongue. Overall, good bitter to style, I’d have again. Bulk_Carrier	3 Maine Coast Dark Winter Wheat Reviewed from old notes. On tap at the brewpub, this was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a black color with a thin bar pour’s kind of head that died off immediately. The smell had a light chocolate covered banana thing going on, not bad but not exactly what I thought it was going to be for a true dunkelweizen (side note, what was I expecting, its not in a weizen glass), sorry, anyways. The taste was sweet through the chocolate covered banana, not bad. On the palate, this sat about a light to medium with a fair sessionability about it. Bulk_Carrier	3.3 Maine Coast Jack Russells Best Brown Ale Reviewed from old notes. On tap at the brewpub. The appearance had a bar pour’s kind of head, slim to light gracing of a cap. The color of the body was a glossy amber. The smell had a light malty nutty caramel roastiness, becomes slightly invasive but in a good way. The taste was mildly sweet with a good nutty caramel flavor. On the palate, it sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation is there and good for the style and for me. There was a long lingering nutty aftertaste. Overall, good brown ale I could have again. Saturday, August 30, 2014
Bulk_Carrier	2.7 Maine Coast Wild Blueberry Ale Reviewed from old notes. On tap at the brewpub. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a semi-dark red to brown color with a bar pour’s kind of head that died off quickly. The smell started off with the blueberries sweet and tight up front. A decent grainy malt base ended up coming across. The taste combined the blueberries and the graininess which tasted better than it smelled -more or less like wheat to me. On the palate, this sat about a light to medium with a decent sessionable quality about it. Carbonation seemed fairly subdued but probably due to the want of having the wheat give it a little kick, which actually Dorset really happen. Overall, the taste was there but something in the smell seemed a bit off in the grainy/what was supposed to be wheat. For the most part, not bad. Saturday, August 30, 2014

The appearance was a dark brown color with a bar pour’s kind of head. The smell was malty dry, light coffee persists and then a dry bitter chocolate. The taste was semi-sweet with a nice dry coffee enthralling my taste buds. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a good sessionable quality about it. The carbonation finishes somewhat smooth, still good for the style. Overall, good Irish Dry Stout, I’d have it again if I could. Saturday, August 30, 2014

It smells of dark roast malt with coffee and has a similar flavor with some good bitterness. This brew is medium bodied and has a lingering, roast finish. Braudog	3.7 Maine Coast Black Irish-Style Stout Draft at the brewery/restaurant. Finally! A decent beer in Bar Harbor. Poured like a champion Irish stout, although the bartender kept trying to knock down the awesome creamy head (ditz). There’s a nice roasty aroma, and the beer drinks with a well rounded malty aroma. Although just a bit chalky, the creamy character of the beer prevails, and this is ultimately a fun, drinkable Irish stout. (#4222, 8/21/2011) Monday, August 22, 2011
Braudog	1.4 Maine Coast Precipice Pale Ale Draft at the brewery/restaurant. Quite dark for a pale ale, and a full 4 shades darker than their IPA. Very little aroma to suggest this is an American style pale ale, and no body to support the English moniker either. There’s a huge head at first, but I credit that to pour air handling in their tapping system. While mostly unoffensive, the beer did evoke a bit of a soapiness that was off-putting, but generally this was drinkable without any notable character. (#4221, 8/22/2011) Monday, August 22, 2011
Braudog	1.5 Maine Coast Jack Russells IPA Draft at the scene of the crime. Light in color, this initially poured with a huge head ... but me thinks the restaurant has the CO2 turned up too high. Although relatively active, this beer doesn’t have the body you’d expect. The aroma is extremely subdued as well, as are any flavor components whatsoever. Although cleanly made (no infections or imperfections), this has no distinguishable characteristics worth talking about, particularly for anything labeled an IPA. User37895	3.3 Maine Coast Precipice Pale Ale Draft at the brewpub. The color was a light orange (darker than the IPA), the head ok and lacing ok. The aroma was earthy and spicey along with some toffee and caramel maltiness. The flavor followed along with some melons and floral notes. The aroma was chocolate, faint coffee, faint roast. The flavor followed, the body a bit grainy and silky, smooth. In want of more coffee flavors, something beyond the chocolate, but a good brew. User37895	3 Maine Coast Jack Russells Best Brown Ale On draft at the brewpub. The pour was dark brown, thin head and low lacing. The aroma was nuts, chocolate, some mustiness. The flavor followed, chocolate more prominent than in the aroma, some roast and molasses in there too. almaxwell	4.3 Maine Coast Winter Warmer OK, to be fair, I found this bottle 1/3 full in the barn while cleaning things up. Of course, being a connoisseur of aged brews, since I have been obliged to imbibe many of my own over the years, I had to give this a taste. I have no idea how long it’s been there, but I can say that I haven’t been to Bar Harber since my wife’s birthday (Jan 4) somewhere around the turn of the millenium. Sweet-tart pumpkin and orange peel flavor with note of cloves. Tartness was very refreshing and different for a pumpkin ale - apparently a great improvement from their pumpkin wheat. Gigantic foam pour. Cap opens with big pffffffttt!!! 99% of first pour was white foam. Foam oozes out of bottle as it takes about 15 minutes to decant a 12 oz. bottle with all the foam. Cloudy gold-yellow body. Aroma is sour, citrusy, iodine and yeast. Mouthfeel extremely prickly. Taste is citrusy, iodine, Band-Aid and yeast. Another "masterpiece" from Maine Coast.
