3.5 U.S. Border Boom Boom Brown Ale Clear burnt copper color. Nose is grassy, citrusy hops rising over the malt. Taste is more hops than malt. Actually less malty than I like my browns, but not a bad beer. Some caramel as it warms. Monday, August 26, 2002

3.1 U.S. Border Red River Ale Dissipointing offering. While the other beers on tap that night were at least strong offerings, this one left me disapointed. It had a thick sweet malt aroma with caramel. The body wasn't too thin for the style but the flavor was boring. There just wasn't really anything to it. Monday, August 5, 2002

3.7 U.S. Border Devils Hopyard IPA Good bitter, slightly citric aroma. Good head with a dull copper color. Starts with mild hops and malt and finishes with a very pleasant but strong fruity hop bitterness. Now as POW as a lot of the other IPAs I've had recently. The hops have a nice meld with cilantro in the salsa. Monday, August 5, 2002

3.8 U.S. Border El Chupacabras Bock An american bock that's really a bock. How unusual. Nice dark ruby brown color with good chocolate maltiness with a surprising hop bite. Seems to have that sour aftertaste that I associated with almost every lager I've ever had. Monday, August 5, 2002

3.2 U.S. Border Tombstone Gold Pretty good golden ale. For the style it's a good bit above average. Decent light malt taste with the slightest hop bite. It's refreshing with it's mild sweetness and moderate citric fruitiness. Friday, July 19, 2002
