huineman	3.3 Cortina Sidra Natural 70 cl bottle from DIA. A cloudy yellowish pour with a greenish cast to it. Aroma is green apples, lemon, yeast, sawdust, slight funk. Mouthfeel is bone dry, slightly fizzy, tart, low-bodied, short-lived. Easy to drink. Don't be deceived by the score: this is not bad at all. Friday, December 23, 2022

Glouglouburp	2.5 Cortina Sidra Natural In short: A Sidra lacking character where everything seemed muffled. Boring. How: Bottle when dining in some rustic restaurant in the Picos De Europa Spain. The look: Cloudy yellow body with no head to speak of. To me a typical Sidra is: Funky aroma of medium intensity with many light color fruits in the back (not just apples). Body is medium in size, a texture that is both juicy and doughy and with minimal carbonation. Taste is a lot less apple-forward than a regular cider with apples but also various light color tropical/citrus/exotic fruits. Yeast presence accompanied by a bready sensation. Typical Sidras have a mild sourness and ends with a mild-medium acidic bite. Thirst quenching and also a bit nourishing. This one: As above but with everything toned down. Muted funk, fruitiness lacking a freshness quality, timid acidity, even the carbonation was lifeless (even by Sidra standard). I drank this bottle in a countryside rustic restaurant lost in the Picos De Europa, so maybe the bottle was old, or maybe this sidra is just lame. I’m not the type of person who can hate a restaurant waiter forever just because he sold me a lame bottle of Sidra, but I will however hate him for the rest of my life. Thursday, September 11, 2014
