Minnestalgia Raspberry Honeywine
Smells and taste beautiful. Only point taken off is contributed by they way it makes the back of my throat dry after drinking, making me more thirsty.

Minnestalgia Charred Honey Wine
Very very light yellow. Wonderful flavor, with a sensation that is smooth but with a bit of sourness! Nice! It’s a different kind of mead. Small alcohol note. Effervescent. Excellent!

Minnestalgia Charred Honey Wine
Shared by Brewfiend. Apple aroma. Very sour flavor for a mead, and I am OK with this, but it does make it very unusual. There is honey flavor as well, but it is not sweet.

Minnestalgia Charred Honey Wine
Bottle from brewfiend. Well... this one’s certainly odd. Charred wood, honey and agave on the nose. Tart sweetness on the tongue. Some honey, pineapple and plenty of fresh run agave distillate. Flat an slightly hot finish. Odd for sure.

Minnestalgia Charred Honey Wine
Sampled at MN Ratebeer Winter Gathering in Maplewood, MN and supplied by brewfiend. From a 750 ml bottle pours a clear light golden beverage with no head or any carbonation. Aroma of light tropical fruit, some honey character and a touch of white pepper. Taste is thick and oily with a honey and pineapple flavor. Finish is slick, slightly flat with a lingering pineapple and slight oak aftertaste.

Minnestalgia Charred Honey Wine
MN Ratebeer Winter Gathering, January 12, 2008. Thanks to Brewfiend for bringing this in. Light yellow color with no head. Slight oak and honey aroma. The honey flavor is oddly tart. Just a little bit of oak. Brewfiend’s pineapple description is fairly accurate. Definitely a different mead.

Minnestalgia Charred Honey Wine
Sweet pineapple nose on this pale yellow mead. Sweet pineapple body with a dry finish. Rather sour body

Minnestalgia Elderberry Honeywine
Pale purple red color. Faint fruit aroma which I assume is elderberry. No detectable honey aroma. Intriguing berry flavor that’s lacking in honey characteristics. Unfortunately, the mead was marred by a pronounced metallic characteristic.
