Clear light to medium yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, moderate alcohol, nail polish. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, alcohol - buzzy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20120807]

cask at GBBF 2012 ... palest yellow ... thin white head .. white wine tones ... soft apple ... even a hit of sake on the nose ... just a touch of white wine or home made druit wine for me

Chafford Cider - Dry (Draught)
Bag in a box at Rare Breeds BF 08. Gold, thin bubbly white head. Some ascetic aroma. But the flavour is really good. Sourness is excellent. Some green apple, but there is some Speyside type whisky. Surprisingly sour flavour, the apple is quite green and muted, but overall great.

Comments: Again a hugely heady and overly strong offering from Chafford, but not very complex in yeastiness and drowned in alcohol on the palate.

Comments: Incredibly strong cider in alcohol, woody and heady, but a very interesting experiment.

Chafford Hellishly Strong Dry Cider
A Mes rate: Milk bottle shaped plastic bottle from Middle Farm thanks to David. Utterly ridiculous stuff. I entered the abv as 13 but it seems that’s the lowest it will be and is more than likely stronger... Pale yellow colour. Paint stripper and acetone with some slight apple in the aroma. Flavour similar but the finish is great. Very very dry but then that is washed away with long long alcohol and apple notes. Certainly not the most interesting cider I have had but its just so over the top silly I couldn’t help but like it.
