3.4 Castlebay Three Nuns Ale Stopped in here quickly when passing through town. I was surprised to see a tiny commercial brewing setup that they use t make one beer which is this one. Pours red with a white head. Smells of light caramel, crisp, fruity. Tastes fruity and sweet with some earthiness on the finish. An easy drinking session ale from one of the smallest and most unlikely brewing operations I’ve seen to date.. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 | |

4.9 Castlebay Three Nuns Ale Creamy - as in heavy-cream creamy. Thick, malty, smooth, and a beautiful golden-amber color. Toasted and nutty on the nose, perfectly thick texture going down, and an aftertaste reminiscent of an expensive caramel dessert. The only downside is that you can only get it on the premises.
