First brewed in 1997, our New World Porter is one of the original Black IPA’s in this country, and will make its seasonal debut at a tapping party at the Avery Tap Room at 5 PM on Wednesday, December 30th.

A dark, deep brown color, New World Porter displays many characteristics of a traditional robust porter with flavors of mocha, chocolate and sweet caramel. In typical Avery fashion, we go way beyond the style guidelines and add an assertive and pronounced Columbus hop character, giving this beer the body of a porter and the soul of an IPA!

Look for New World Porter in six-packs and on tap throughout CO and across the nation beginning in early January 2010.
