Lambics of Hanssens Artisanaal on Cask
Details
Join us for a truly memorable tasting experience at ChurchKey: Hanssens Gueuze and Hanssens Kriek on CASK! That’s right, authentic Lambic from the Payottenland in Belgium, served via hand-pump (as it is in only a few of the most traditional pubs of the region). Taste the blended beauty of Hanssens Artisanaal of Dworp, one of the few remaining Lambic blenders of Belgium.
This one of a kind experience will kick-off at 6 PM and the Lambics will be available in both tasting and full glass pours.
About the Lambics:
Hanssens Oude Gueuze - As with all Gueuzes, Hanssens is a mixture of several vintages, typically one, two and three year olds, to produce a lambic which is refreshingly fruity and dry. The result of blending the different lambics of different ages is a secondary fermentation that provides the natural effervescence responsible for Gueuze’s moniker, the "Champagne of Belgium".
Hanssens Oude Kriek - Oude Kriek is the result of blending lambic of different ages - all of which have been aged on black cherries - for natural effervescence and alluring complexity.
