May Beer Dinner

Executive Chef Scott Reed has really outdone himself this time! Attendees at our past beer dinners might have heard a bit about Scott’s creativity with this wondrous protein.
Last month, the gauntlet was thrown down to Scott to create a five course feast featuring…BACON! According to Scott, this was one of the most challenging menus he has ever written. To create this menu, required a sensitivity to not let bacon always overpower some of the other unique and subtle ingredients used.
The menu:
Bacon wrapped asparagus filled with garlic and herb neufchatel cheese--- Paired with Saint Arnold Summer Pils
Bacon lentil soup with a chili lime crème fraiche--- Paired with Real Ale Mysterium Verum 14th Anniversary Ale
Chopped bacon salad with Boston bib lettuce, grilled tomatoes, fried eggs, and goat cheese with an apple vinaigrette--- Paired with Real Ale Lost Gold IPA
Grained mustard Pork belly braised then finished with a cherry glaze over roasted herb fingerlings potatoes and bacon collard greens--- Paired with New Belgium Le Terroir
Bacon Cookie and Caramel gelato served with house-made biscotti--- Paired with Abita Turbodog
