What: A beer and blues festival celebrating local breweries.
When: Saturday, October 15, 2011, from 2pm-11pm
Where: Downtown Grand Rapids on Ionia Avenue, between Weston and Oakes.

Grand Rapids area breweries will be showcasing and selling their beer. These breweries include HopCat, Founders Brewing Co., Brewery Vivant, White Flame Brewing Co., Schmohz Brewery, Hideout Brewing Co., Jaden James, and more.

In addition to booths from these local breweries, Hoptoberfest will feature a German beer garden, a food tent, and many local artisans displaying their wares for sale.

Blues Music: The event features a blues lineup featuring the legendary Chicago blues man Lonnie Brooks as headliner. Other acts include Stacy Mitchhart, Big James and the Chicago Playboys, and Rob Blaine’s Big Otis Blues.

Tickets will be available for $10 beginning in early September at www.ticketweb.com, and at some participating local breweries including HopCat and others. Tickets purchased the day of the event will be $15.
