Flying Saucer Draught Emporium will host a special Belgian beer tasting with Vanberg and DeWulf Imports at its location at 323 President Clinton Ave. on Thursday, Oct. 20, beginning at 6 p.m.

The tasting will be led by Wendy Littlefield, co-owner/founder of the Belgian beer importing firm, Vanberg and DeWulf Imports. Littlefield, along with her husband, was integral in building the market and distribution network for Belgian beers in the United States, introducing signature beers from each of Belgium’s great indigenous brewing styles to beer lovers across the country.

Littlefield will offer a great selection of brews for the tasting and will guide guests through the event as they pair the beers with a selection of artisanal fruits, cheeses and meats. The selected brews for the evening include Hop Ruiter Stong Golden Ale, a collaboration between Scheldt Brewery and Vanberg and DeWulf; Saison from Brewery Dupont; Scaldis by Dubuisson Brewery; Lambrucha, a collaboration between Vanberg and DeWulf and Brasserrie DeTroch; and Scaldis Cuvee Des Trolls from Dubuisson Brewery.
